White Reindeer Holiday Card

Card base is white Bazzill. I cut the reindeer on my Cricut, Christmas cartridge, shiny paper. The background paper is a light blue metallic but I can't remember vendor. I used the Cuttlebug snowflake folder for the embossed design. On the reindeer's antlers I applied Glossy Accents, and on his hooves is white glitter. The snowflake button is from JoAnn's, and the ribbon is sheer white by May Arts. The cute little blue eye is a light blue Swavorski crystal (I think Christmas reindeers have blue eyes!)
The reindeer and snowflake are pop-dotted. On the inside I added "Happy Holidays" cut out of the blue metallic paper. As a final touch I edged the card in blue ink. Thanks for looking!

Home wall sign

I designed this Home sign for the Cricut Vinyl Class I'm teaching at JoAnn's. The butterfly is from my stash of odds n ends, and the flower is from a kit sold at J's. The 6"x14" wood sign is also from J's. The small stick-on flower is from my stash and I used it to cover a blemish in the wood.

Baby Shower Centerpiece

I created this centerpiece (using my Cricut and the New Arrival cartridge) for an Open House I'm doing this weekend at JoAnn Fabrics. The photo is washed out and you can't really see the details. IRL it looks very nice.
We just found out that my pregnant daughter is having a girl, so I will be using this design for her centerpieces (just a little more elaborate).

Just for Kobe ...

A friend of mine recently had a beautiful baby boy, who she named Kobe. I made these for her to celebrate his birth! All Amanda has to do is add the pictures!

What a friend we have ...

I created these cards for those times that someone needs spiritual comforting. They are blank on the inside so I can write a personal message to the person I'm sending it to.

Two Favorite Cards

Two cards I enjoy making are the Double Pocket Card and the Waterfall Card. They are so much fun and lend themselves to any theme, occasion, design. I'm back...

Things have been very chaotic and I have neglected my blog spot. I am making a vow to post at least every other day, with the hope of posting every day!
I have a lot of classes lined up at JoAnn Fabrics. Classes include elegant cards, making stamps and embossing folders with the Cricut, Scrapbook Socials - and I will also be teaching the new SDU classes!
Pictured is a "Blooming Box" that is a favorite class project. (You may know them as "Exploding Boxes", but I dislike that term - mine bloom !)

Votive Holder & Picture Frame Set

I created this votive and picture frame set with Indie Art cartridge on my Cricut E. The paper is metallic blue (but I can't remember manufacturer). Ribbon is May Arts. The candle is a battery operated votive (can NOT use an actual wax candle in a paper holder!)

Birthday

May 25th I officially became a "senior citizen" . . . my 62nd birthday.
I remember how excited I was when I turned 16 (was that in this century?). Well, the only thing exciting about turning 62 is the fact that I'm still alive and kicking.
I have my Cricut E, DesignStudio, Cuttlebug, computer, and many other modern devices to keep my mind off things "senior". If I can just remember where I put them...

Welcome to my blog! I am here to share my love of paper crafting: scrapbooking, cards, home decor, specialty projects - anything to do with paper + creativity. My favorite design tools are my Cricut Expression and DesignStudio. ProvoCraft rocks & rules! :)
Most of my working years were spent as a graphic designer, which made it easy to become addicted to paper crafting. In more recent times I have been teaching classes, including scrapbooking, card design, Cricut, DesignStudio, and other paper-based projects. One of my most Happy Heart Occasions was being the featured artist of ProvoCraft's Chirper newsletter (August 08). Three artists that truly inspire me are Becca Feeken (ODB), Dawn Griffith (SU) and Kelly Davis (BFF). I recently contracted with JoAnn's to teach classes at one of their superstores. This blogging stuff is new to me, so there will be mistakes for a while!
